COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS 2024
The Garden Club of Somerset Hills
Community Grant Application Process 2024
As a non-profit organization, the Garden Club of Somerset Hills' (GCSH) mission is to “stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and to improve, restore, and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and projects in the field of conservation and civic improvement”. Created to fund initiatives and activities the Community Grants Program is focused on open space and water supply conservation, as well as education and civic improvement through the support of horticultural projects in public places.
Annually, the GCSH seeks grant applicants from local organizations sponsoring projects fitting within its mission and goals. The Community Grants Program aims to fund specific projects rather than organizations. Priority is given to projects where other sources are either limited or unavailable. It seeks projects which support the GCSH mission and where contributions will have the maximum effectiveness. At least 75% percent of the funds are allocated within the community, defined as Somerset, Hunterdon, and portions of Morris counties. Historically, grant monies have ranged between $150 - $1000.
Application materials for 2024 grants are on the club website (gcofsh.com) and will be emailed to organizations in early January 2024. When sending the application via email kindly send to both co-chairs. The Community Grant Application deadline is March 1, 2024.
Thank you for your interest in the Garden Club of Somerset Hills Community Grants Program.
